Scotland: No Dissected Saltire

Today, The Party is presenting the situation concerning Scotland.

How Many Flags?

After brother and sister Hun had returned from Serbia to England, Angela showed me the premise on which she would base her work. Look at this cloth, she said, holding a linen sheet comprised of four squares of equal size. The two top squares were coloured in, my sister having used a red and a blue tint. From my view standing in front of her, the top left was English with the red, and the top right was Scottish with the blue. The two bottom squares were empty spaces.

She said that England and Scotland are two separate nations each with their own flag, and that is how her research into Church history in Britain took its route. In fact, Angela never followed the union jack but her own version of reality. Being one who says it as she sees it, her view was – and remained – that there are only two countries whose flags are represented in the union jack, England and Scotland.

Door Be Shut!

It was at that very same time that my sister also told me not to use any keys where they don’t belong, and specifically not to open in England doors of a rival country. She wasn’t referring to Scotland as being this rival, but to Italy.

A Supernova

In hermana’s version of life, that which is contorted needs to be straightened if it is of any value, and that is precisely what she advocates in regards to Scotland. Scottish flag in union jack, she said, look like jigsaw. She is right, the Scottish cross looks like it’s been crucified, drawn and quartered and the pieces hanged out to dry around the Red Saint George.

On Scotland Waking up

Brother Hun believes the Scots should say thank you to hermana Hun for pointing this out and stating that they need to put the pieces back together as one cross on one flag, as a nation would be expected to do. They might even find she went the extra mile and did some research. If they did, it would be a better idea than heading straight back to the European Union - that failed project of the Italian “founding fathers of Europe”.
